"Locating Dominators Part 4"

Another day... Another trip up North. This time I definitely had two leads:

D32 was parked in an Equstrian Centre north of Aberdeen
D17 was in a scrapyard East of Fraserburgh.

Went to the location of D32 first. Being a riding school, and Saturday morning - there was plenty of young horse riders about, none of whom knew about buses!! However one, did go seek out advice who told me they did have "a square looking bus" but it was sold to another riding school earlier in the year. I got the details of the location, and went off to find it.

After a 20 minute drive, I found the Equstrian Centre in question.... No buses visible, but plenty of sheds. Could D32 be parked up under cover?? I knocked the door of a house on site, and spoke to a gentleman who advised me the bus in question was indeed there..... But was sold to a scrap dealer in Essex about March / April time. It was a specialist scrap merchant who came up and drove the Dominator away and also took an Atlantean on suspended tow. Arghhh. Well at least i knew D32 wasn't up in Scotland. Do you know where it is? Or who the scrap dealer could be? If so please Contact me!

Not to worry.. I was told D17 was in the yard of Davidson's of Rora - a scrap merchant in the North East. So i headed up there next. After finding the yard (I wasn't expecting a Scrapyard in the middle of the countryside!) i enquired in the office. I was advised they probably had taken the bus, but couldn't confirm it. But they did have buses at the back of their yard. So on the agreement i had safety boots (which i had in the car!), i could take a walk up and have a look myself.

At the back of the yard, i did find 3 buses - but no Dominator sadly. Present were Atlantean's CWG694V, YBK340V and former Central SMT stablemate Volvo Ailsa AH30, LHS754V

The trip wasn't an absolute waste though. I did manage to cram the car full of seats of the moquette carried in D23...! A few photos now:
