"Pipes, Glass And Bumper" |
|
| |
| A half day today, so only two small tasks were carried out. None the less, every little bit done is a step further. |
| |
First of all, the broken hoses were removed from the demister motors. These exposed the demisters and broken glass - which would have ended up down there via broken windscreens and the glass fragments falling down the vents.
The top demister was responsible for keeping the entrance doors demisted, where as the bottom demister was responsible for the windscreen. |

| The next two photographs show the condition of the vertical struts that make up the frame at the front of the bus which hold the fibreglass panels below the windscreen in place. The clearly shows the nearside being bent in, explaning why it had that slightly off look. This will be pulled back out and straightened. |

Which should not be pushed in as much as this, but sit like below: |

| Next, attention was turned to the bumper and to strip the paint back to steel. The bumper should be black eventually. Interesting, where as D23 has a heavy steel bumper, D22 had a fibreglass one. |
