| D14, D24, D47 and D48, D50 and D51 were all off the road due to road traffic accidents. |

D14 (TYS267W)
D14 looking rather sad, lying at the back of Old Kilpatrick depot on the 23rd August 1992 after being recovered from it's accident. D14 would make its final journey to the scrapyard five months later in March 1993, making it the first Dominator to be scrapped.

D24 (FGE424X)
D24 also seen at the back of Old Kilpatrick depot - possibly circa 1988-1989? Unlike D14 above, D24 was repaired and ran in futher service right up to the end of Dominator usage with Kelvin Central Buses.

D31 (FGE431X)
This was D31 after colliding with another vehicle and crashing through the wall of the STV studio's in Renfield Street. This incident happened on 5th August 1994. Article scanned from the next days Daily Record.

D47 (MNS47Y)
This was D47 in 1989. Having just recently been transferred into the newly formed Kelvin Central fleet, D47 required some major surgery involving a complete front end rebuild. D47 also saw further service right up until the end.
This particular photo was taken in Motherwell depot.

D48 (MNS48Y) - Part 1
This was D48 circa 1987, lying in Rothesay Street, East Kilbride after colliding with a trailer. D48 was subsequently repaired for further service. This article appeared in the Evening Times (exact date unknown).

This was D48 on 14th February 2006, laid up in a Barnsley scrapyard. This was D48's second crash in it's life, and was also it's last.

D50 (MNS50Y)
This was D50 lying in Stepps Depot in 1993. This vehicle was written off in an accident and became the 2nd Central Dominator to be scrapped, following D14 to the breakers yard in June 1993.

| De-Roofings |

| D27 (by this time numbered 1727 with Kelvin Central), lost it’s roof under the infamous Cook Street railway bridge in Glasgow during 1991, but was repaired using the roof from withdrawn Metrobus 1641 (ULS641X). Although both were different types of bus - they both shared the same body design of the Alexander RL type. |

| Engine Fires |
| |

| D33, D45 and D46 all suffered engine fires. According to my own notes hastily scribbled as a young boy, D46 caught fire on 1st September 1987, and D33 caught fire on the 17th September 1989 |
